  • At the Heart of Racing Jacket

The At the Heart of Racing jacket is a celebratory homage to the Honda RA300 Formula One racer driven by John Surtees, winning Honda’s first Formula One race at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Surtees took the lead from Jim Clark’s Lotus and Jack Brabham’s Brabham on the final lap, after Clark ran out of fuel and Brabham ran wide and won with the RA300.

The RA300 is powered by normally aspirated 48-valve 2,991cc V12 RA273E with a quoted 400-440bhp at 12,000rpm. Surtee’s RA300 had around 396bhp but with improved torque and response with more weight reduction to produce a scintillating finish at the Italian Grand Prix.
